The AHT ScanPod provides a complete solution for moving infants inside the hospital and keeping them secure during MRI or CT scans. The ScanPod combines a range of proven technologies which are easy to use to provide a warm and safe environment for the baby during internal hospital transit. ScanPod is designed to safely move infant patients between departments within a single medical facility. Completely non metallic, X-ray translucent and MRI conditional, the ScanPod is compatible with existing focus coils from major MRI manufacturers allowing consistent imaging without needing to purchase additional expensive coils. Manufactured from a lightweight composite material, the outer shell, lined with shock and acoustic damping foam inner layer, provides a safe environment. Its high visibility removable lid, with space for an optional camera, allows the clinical team to be able to see the baby at all times. Additionally, hand access ports on either side allow easy access to the baby whilst maintaining temperature. Optional accessories can be added to provide a comprehensive solution to move even the sickest infants. ScanPod contains a patient positioning vacuum mattress to keep the baby secure during both transit and imaging, quick release anchor points to secure the unit on the trolley and safety straps to secure the infant inside the device during transit.
